Thank you Coalfield Kindness Club! It sounds like you have a wonderful program and believe me…that is an inspiration to me. I am sure it isn’t just an inspiration to me but to others as well. When I have my moments of doubt, it is groups like  yours which inspire me. You are touching many people’s lives. That in itself is a wonderful thing. It is pretty fun too I bet! Kindness is fun, and hopefully more people will recognize that. You have a wonderful teacher to inspire this in you. Kudos to her and you.. Each of you! We have a children’s hospital here too… that is so wonderful that you did something for yours. I hope realize how much that means to others…how big of an impact you have.

Dear Angel,
     Hi! My name is XXXX XXXXXX and I am a teacher at Coalfield School.  I am also the sponsor of  The Coalfield Kindness Club.  Our club is made up of 14 middle school aged girls who are trying to make a difference in the world by doing random acts of kindness.  A couple of weeks ago, I gave them the assignment of looking up a “kindness website” and we came across yours.
 
     So far, our club has raised money for a rescue shelter at Thanksgiving, by having a spare change drive, we delivered gifts to the county nursing home at Christmas and sang to the patients, we have given out free hot chocolate to the student body (we are a k-12 school), and last week we raised money for Children’s Hospital in Knoxville by selling Valen-KIND grams for Valentine’s day.

Kindness week come and gone. I had a great time of it. I will be honest my life has felt rather complex lately so I was wondering how that would play into it all. I think it played more into the fact that I didn’t post. I didn’t lack in the kindness activities, but I felt an internal conflict. I felt great about the kindness tasks I was doing, yet I was also feeling stresses in other parts of my life and dealing with that. As I have said from the begining, this was an experiment, so I had no idea how things would work. I can say I haven’t faltered from my kindness journey, but I must admit I have faltered on the daily logging. I don’t know if it is due to the long period of the year, or if it is due to the external things going on in my life.

I really did have a great kindness week. I sent out some cards, I did special things for my kids.. and some other kindness things which I guess bring up that conflict of things going on that I mentioned. (Yes I know this sounds obscure but I have maintained this site on a general and not personal level so without changing that that is how it must be)

I am so proud of my 9yr old. He is doing an activity for school a jump for heart. He is so excited about raising money for this cause and jumping his heart out. When we had to set up the site for him to send to relatives to ask for donations..he had me put this website down. He is inspired by me and I am inspired by him. He is hoping to raise 200 in donations.
